Because many civilizations have had problems with religion and its difference and role with the government, the Victorians decided that they will not have an official religion, although people can still practice their own religions and beliefs, and it will not interfere with the government. It is also prohibited to try to convert someone to a different religion, people should be free to believe what they want without disturbing anyone else. Although there are diverse religions being practiced in Gonza, the one that is mostly practiced is Foodism since it was the established one in the old planet the Victorians used to live in, before they decided that there shall not be an official religion. Foodism is a religion that inspires people to be who they are without harming or annoying anyone around them. It teaches people morals and it says that education is very important as well as self-appreciation and self-respect. It also says that one must be one with nature and that we should not stray from the path to good, although being good and being bad is subjective, so people should be understanding and calm. It also encourages people to do what they love without fear of being judged, for judging is a sin. The leader of the people who Foodism is called Lo and he is highly praised by the people. Although the religion is no threat it is better to avoid having it be tied to the government because, since there are different types of religion then people would get mad that there is a preference and also there could be conflicts between the government and the religion.
